SUMMARY:Kick the Sugar Habit: Evening Class
DESCRIPTION:Do you find yourself craving candy\, dessert or a sugary drink during the day? Sometimes it is easy to take in a 600-calorie dessert after dinner even when you are full. Sugar activates the reward system in our brains. The more sugar we eat\, the more we want. On top of this\, the amount of sugar in the products we eat has gradually increased over the years. \nEating too much sugar can lead to weight gain\, diabetes and high triglycerides. \nIf you’re looking to cut back on excess sugar in your diet\, join us for a class at Hy-Vee with your Hy-Vee dietitian\, Kalley Hakes\, RD\, LD. \nKalley will be discussing tips to cut back on added sugar throughout the day. You will go home with some fun recipes to try and ideas to get you started on your wellness journey. \nSamples will be provided during the class and door prizes will be awarded.
