This free community session with Kirstyn Fulton, DPT, will discuss the pelvic floor, the group of muscles that support our bladder, colon, uterus and internal organs. Problems with the pelvic floor, including bladder incontinence, bowel incontinence, constipation, and pain, can occur because of pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, frequent constipation or diarrhea (due to IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Celiac Disease, other GI issues). We will explore a few easy tips to help our pelvic floor at home, instruct in some easy exercises we could all do to help take care of our pelvic floor and highlight the instances where you might need help from a physical therapist.
