Local organizations dedicated to serving Minnesotans 50+ will host a Healthy Aging Forum to empower older adults to thrive in community as they age.
This is not your average health fair; this interactive Healthy Aging Forum couldn’t be contained to just one room but will nearly take up all the room the Hallie Q Brown Community Center has to offer!
With input from local community elders, the forum will feature 30-minute mini-sessions on topics including:
Heart Health
Diabetes
Self-Care
Scam & Fraud Prevention
Health Benefits of Volunteerism
Caregiving
Brain Health
And More!
Participants will have the opportunity to attend 3 mini-sessions and dive into their top 3 topics of interest. Nobody will be leaving the event empty-handed and folks can expect to leave with real takeaways that they can put to use in their daily lives.
Food and refreshments will be served throughout the event.
Blood pressure checks will be on-site.
There will be a drawing for a raffle prize after the final mini-session (must be present to win).
This event is free and open to the public. The Healthy Aging Forum is brought to you in partnership with AARP Minnesota, the Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging, 2nd Half with Lyngblomsten, the American Heart Association, and the Hallie Q Brown Community Center.
